Steve is a Chartered Account, Chartered Tax Advisor, Fellow CPA, Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and founding Partner of Ledgia Chartered Accountants.
Prior to establishing Ledgia, Steve held a number of executive financial and commercial roles within tier-one organisations, including BHP, where he was Financial Controller for six years. With considerable experience in corporate governance, mergers, acquisitions and business integration, Steve’s passion is to simplify work processes, leverage integrated technology and assist clients to sustainably execute their growth strategies.
In delivering large complex projects, Steve has quickly secured the necessary talent to support delivery, structure the organisation for success, and set clear objectives and accountabilities. Steve creates a safe work environment where team members are suitably empowered and recognised for their contribution.
Steve’s strengths are in his ability to articulate the end-state; link the commercial objectives to the technical delivery and effectively engage with stakeholders; address emerging issues promptly; manage risk and the impact of change; and ensure safety and value accretion remain imperative.
Tricia is an accomplished financial professional and business leader with a strong background in Finance, Investment Evaluation, Performance Management, Planning and Project Management. She worked with BHP for 27 years before joining Ledgia in January 2017.
Tricia’s roles have enabled her to accumulate extensive experience in establishing and embedding Accounting, Compliance and Financial Management processes, systems and reporting while creating a culture which engages, empowers and challenges personnel to deliver exceptional results. She has a proven ability to analyse and assess business acquisition, divestment and investments, negotiate with parties and present recommendations to senior executives to allow informed decision making. In addition she has an ability to drive continuous improvement and value realization through a deep understanding of business drivers and performance metrics
Tricia has extensive experience working on global mergers and acquisitions across Australia, North America, South America, South Africa and the United Kingdom. She led BHP’s due diligence of the base metals business on the merger with Billiton and more recently was the finance lead in BHP’s acquisition of Leighton’s Henry Walker Eltin assets and resources.
Prior to joining Ledgia, Tricia was part of the BHP Iron Ore’s Information Systems and 1SAP Project leadership team and managed the team responsible for portfolio management, PMO, financial management, risk, governance and compliance and team recruitment and retention.
